HGTV is just days away from forking over the keys to its 2010 Dream Home .
Viewers were invited to submit daily entries during the drawing, which ran from January 1 through February 19, 2010. The winner will soon kiss off their old neighbors and move into a brand new Pueblo-style home, which was built near Santa Fe, New Mexico.
The home is located in Sandia Park along the Turquoise Trail between Albuquerque and Santa Fe. Boasting 3,900 square feet and a mix of southwestern architecture with modern design, the home includes hardwood floors, a state-of-the-art kitchen, an outdoor entertainment area, three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a home office, a home theater, and a guest casita. If that’s not sickening enough, the entire place is solar-powered, which means free (or at least some free) electricity.
Don’t expect to pull your old Yugo into the driveway, either. As part of the $2 million prize package, the winner also gets a 2010 GMC Terrain and $500,000, which should be plenty to fill the house with groceries, DVDs, exotic pets, or any other goodies you like to impulse buy.
If you’re still not sure who your next best friend should be, take a look at the time-lapsed images of the build.
HGTV will announce the new homeowner during the HGTV Dream Home Giveaway 2010 on Monday, March 15 at 8:00 p.m. (EST).
