I don’t know much when it comes to fine art (though, oddly enough, I am an artist).  So when the name Patou crossed my path, it meant nothing to me.  Turns out, Patou is a powerhouse of an artist in multiple media and has exhibited worldwide from Monte Carlo to Miami.

She designs furniture, too; the Puzzle Collection is one of her most innovative designs.

Available only through Patou Fine Art & Design, these cocktail tables are hand crafted and numbered.

These puzzle pieces can be used as individual end tables or connected together with glass to form a sideboard.

And like a real puzzle, two or more pieces can connect together.  In this case, the full table is eight feet long.

The Puzzle Collection comes in two finishes—Zebrawood and Wenge.

And while the pieces may be puzzling, the price tag is crystal clear: $5,500 for a set of three and $6,500 for a set of two connected with glass.

But if you have the money, it’s probably a worthy investment.  These tables are handmade works of art by a globally respected artist, after all.

Just don’t accidentally spill your beer on one . . .
