Most Expensive House in Brooklyn0

If you happen to have a spare $25 million burning a hole in your pocket,  take a look at this triplex penthouse that overlooks the Brooklyn Bridge:

I have to admit that it looks like $25 million gets you quite a cool place.  It should be; this is the most expensive piece of property in Brooklyn, New York.

What do you get?  The 3,000 square foot main floor features an open living room, kitchen, and dining room.  A glass-walled elevator and a staircase lead to three more floors—each one smaller than the next, making the home something of a pyramid.

The second floor (2,300 square feet) houses three bedrooms, while the third floor (988 square feet) is an open loft with 15 foot ceilings.  The top floor is an open crow’s nest.  I’ll bet the view is nice from there…

While all of this is very impressive, the most distinctive features of the penthouse are the 14-foot tall window clocks on each wall of the main floor.  And they really work.  There should be no excuse for the owners of this place to be late for work – ever.  As if they work. . . .

A more detailed look at this incredible penthouse and a slide show featuring some stunning photographs is available at The New York Times.
