Last year, I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. I now stick myself daily with insulin (which isn’t anywhere near as bad as I thought it would be—and this is coming from a guy with a life-long needle phobia).
Over the months my body’s systems have evened out—and I’ve gained weight. Three inches around my waist, to be precise. And I find this distressing, as I only have a few pairs of pants that fit me properly.
That’s where the Loopsie may come in handy.
Loopsie is a waistband extender made of a single piece of stretchy cloth that is sewn into two loops.
The design was born out of necessity. Two women developed the Loopsie after using the old tried-and-true rubber band trick (you know—the one where you loop rubber bands through the buttonholes of your pants). But, as they found, rubber bands can break. And they aren’t very attractive. And that can lead to an inadvertent mooning – which nobody wants!
The Loopsie is easy to use. Simply slip the smaller loop over your pants button, then slide the larger loop through the buttonhole. Pull this over and loop it around the button as well. Tada!
Each package contains four different sizes of Loopsies—just in case you suddenly drop a few pounds – or gain a few. :(
